Usually we don't really talk about costumes until August - but, it occurred to me that even though you probably won't be selling used costumes until then, NOW is the time to pick them up at yard sales. So - I got in touch with my friend Sherah Taylor again (she wrote the Secrets To Garage Sale Bargains that is with the Summer Toy Guide this year) and asked her about a great resource she put together about buying used costumes to resell. I was able to work out another great deal for you guys... :-) First of all - a word about costumes... Used costumes are a great item to resell. You can pick them up at yard sales $1-$10 regularly! In fact, one year I picked up an entire bin full of costumes for just 5 bucks... one of the costumes was a Dorothy (Wizard of Oz) costume and I resold it for $40. You can also pick up used costumes at thrift shops and consignment stores, but they won't usually show up there until September...…
