You might be asking why in the world I would be sharing with you a list of used costumes that sold for over $100 LAST year… But, I think it is valuable information if you are thinking about selling used costumes this year.

First of all – the thing about USED items… they hold their value. Many of these same costumes and accessories that sold for over $100 last year are going to be hot sellers this year. They are worth looking into because you can pick up used costumes for $5-10 easy.

Secondly, I want you to see how you can get more lists like this one… only for 2009! 😉

I’ve been following retail trends… and if you have are selling on eBay, you probably do to. One of the things I pay special attention to is the seasons… You have probably noticed that stores are starting to replace the back to school supply shelves with costumes already. Halloween sales should peak at the end of this month when we move right into the Christmas holiday season. This means there is still plenty of time to make a great profit selling costumes on eBay. In fact, even after the Halloween sales reach their peak in retail stores – some will be going strong through October. To take advantage of this as an eBay seller there are two key factors to be aware of:

Key #1: You need to know which costumes will be the most popular – this way, when the stores are all out of them, you can offer your inventory at a profit 😉

Key #2: Have you ever noticed that stores seem to sell the same costumes every year. Even Disney manages to come up with a new Cinderella dress design (or two or three or four!) every year. Once these are gone in the stores people look for previous years used costumes to make their little ones happy.

See… USED costumes SELL!

And this is great news for eBay sellers in the market of children’s items because you can find them for $5-10 EASY and turn around a nice profit of $20-100 in the very short Halloween season.
