7 years ago this month, I launched my first membership site (HuntedTreasure) to help sellers know what used children’s items to sell on eBay… At the time, I had been personally trained by a Power Seller – and had numerous mentors support me as I shared what I knew to help others.
It took me a few years before I was ready to face SEO (or search engine optimization). Frankly, it intimidated me. But, I finally got to a point, where I realized that if I didn’t learn how to get the attention of search engines – and how to have my listings and membership site rank well with them, I would be leaving money on the table.
Let me ask you… Are you leaving money on the table because you are not applying simple strategies that encourage Google and other search engines to find you?
There is no magic formula for ranking with search engines… HOWEVER, there is a whole slew of little things you can be doing with your listings to optimize them for maximum search engine ranking!
It’s one thing to have your potential customers find you because they went to eBay and searched for the item you have listed.
It’s a whole different story to have your potential bidders find you because they ‘googled’ and your listing just ‘happened’ to pop up as one of the top results from their search.
If you are not getting traffic from search engines… I guarantee that you are leaving money on the table – and in times like these, it’s best to take advantage of every venue you can to bring in those bidders.

I love reading what you have to offer on your Hunted Treasure site since your information has been accurate and well thought out. I was wondering if you can give me some of your great insight about something that is really perplexing me about specific auctions. I have made several attempts to offer “brand new” children’s clothing on the site which were clothes that I received as gifts for my babies but they couldn’t wear because they were either for the wrong season or the size was perhaps not a good fit. I saved them all. Don’t believe they should be wasted, are in good condition, and all.
What’s the secret to getting more lookers or perhaps interested buyers? Perplexing because they are all new and pretty much a steal in price offered.
