Whew….! It’s been a long time since I’ve gotten a newsletter out – and not because of lack of great information to share! My promise to you has always been that I won’t ever send out a newsletter for the sake of meeting a weekly/monthly/etc. deadline. Instead – I will only send out information that is proven useful for YOU as you seek to grow your online business.

There has been so much going on it has been difficult to carve out some time to share it all at one time and in one place… but, that is what the plan is here 😉

…And – no better time than at the start of the new year, right? I have so much to share with you here – and I don’t recommend you do it ALL… because you will likely be spread out too thin and get nothing done; however, look at your goals for 2015 and choose what works with where you plan on taking your business this year.

2015 is THE year for GROWTH…
What does that look like for you?

It might mean getting your feet wet with Amazon’s FBA program.
Or…Perhaps it means dipping into wholesale sources
or expanding into liquidation options.
For others it might mean expanding into international markets
Or…moving into offering more information products and/or coaching type services
And, for some it may mean expanding into being able to sell in new categories
Or maybe you are looking to add trade shows to your arsenal this year…

The common thread is growth… and make no mistake – there is lots of opportunity for it this year! But, let’s be honest, it can be easy to get overwhelmed with all the ways to grow…

How do you know whether you should start with wholesale or move into other categories first?All the options can be overwhelming – and although you will likely hear a million different ways to grow from a million different ‘experts’… I promise you – doing nothing different will keep you where you are and stunt growth in your business.

So – if you haven’t already, now is the time to make a plan.

What are you going to focus on for 2015?
Make a list of the options available to you and break the year down in quarters to determine what your focus will be… then stick to the plan 😉

Here are some excellent resources to help you this year… ALL of these are not for everyone – remember, stick to your plan over going to the next shiny object. I share these because they will help you grow this year – and likely in ways you never thought possible.

Last year we started a program to help online sellers get into a solid community of like-minded sellers while having access to proven experts in a specific niche. The Private Niche Groups have helped hundreds of people as they have grown their businesses in 2013 – and we continue to offer these communities going into 2014.

We are about to start a new session for online Grocery and Health/Beauty sellers. These are easy gated categories to get into… if you are in either of these categories, you’ll want to check out the Private Niche Group for Grocery and Health/Beauty sellers… It is a 3 month session running from Feb – April. and is limited to only 100 members – making it a small community where people really are willing to share and discuss strategies and hot sources.

We have a fabulous line up of experts in the group this session:

Deirdra Harter with her accounting background. Deirdre always has great insights and is eager to step in and help.

Jude Clossum is a retail arbitrage expert. His years of selling on multiple platforms provides him with great experience and wisdom as he shares in the group.

Andrew Milburn is our UK guy. He brings an international perspective to the team.

Denise Hargus Hopkins has been very active in the groups previous and is joining in as an expert this session for groceries. Denise has been selling on eBay since 2009 and Amazon since 2012. In early 2014, she joined the PNG-Grocery group and significantly increased her sales from groceries, now accounting for 50% of her overall Amazon sales. She focuses on groceries with long shelf life as well as seasonal items.

Laurie Smith Gentry also joins us this session. She is always very active in the groups and has a wealth of knowledge with dealing with wholesalers and liquidation.

And, we will continue to bring in guest experts. Skip McGrath will be popping in and out when he can… and I’m working on a couple other folks to join in as well to help address specific areas.

Wholesale Sourcing Conference

Did you attend CESII in September last year? It was a great time to meet many of you!

Mastermind Growth with Digital Products and Information Marketing

And… finally…
My passion has always been about helping sellers grow and expand – and I love helping sellers move out of relying on selling physical products and into the world of information marketing. For many years I have done this *very* part time… as a passion and to supplement our income. But, I stepped up my game a bit last year and quadrupled my digital/information product sales in 2014! Yes, I’m spending more time on my business to do this – but, I certainly haven’t quadrupled the amount of time I put into it to grow 400%. That is the beauty of moving into automated revenue streams… you set them once and then watch them perform for you over and over and over again with minimal management.

With that said, many of you have asked whether I would ever consider a small mastermind group to help sellers who are ready to jump into this area.

I am working on a program and application process to help you determine if this is the direction you are ready to grow in.
