Okay – now that we have that out of the way…
I wanted to let you in on a little secret. I’m super excited to say that I’m finally an Amazon Kindle author! I’ve had this on my to-do list for a long time and finally got it done.
(If you want to take a peek – go to Amazon.com and search for ‘Marketing with Pinterest’… last I checked it was #6 on the list)

You might recall that I wrote a course on using Pinterest to grow your online business (eBay or otherwise) earlier this year. I basically took that course and turned it into a Kindle book… easy peasy! In fact, I’m about to release a course for you so you can do the same thing! But, I digress…

As I was going through the Pinterest course again, I was reminded at how amazing Social Media is for our online businesses. Really… I don’t think it matters what your online business is, you can benefit from social media. It’s pretty amazing… and quite simple too.

Using social media to grow your business shouldn’t take too much of your time and the impact can be HUGE…

Here are just a few benefits:

1. You will learn about your market and better be able to meet their needs (in other words, you will have new ideas for new products you can sell as you interact with your audience).

2. New customers will find you through friends… and friends’ friends.

3. It will help you build your brand. People will become more aware of you and your business.

4. You will be seen as an expert in your market-space

5. You don’t have to spend a lot of time to experience big results.

The point of social media is to USE it to drive people to your products… you don’t have to actually sell on the social media sites! In fact, the best way, in my opinion, to use social media of any kind is to NOT pitch your products…

Here is what you do…
First, take 30 minutes and brainstorm a list of things that your target audience (potential customers) are interested in. Don’t just go with ideas in your own head… do some research. Look at magazines that are in your niche and note the topics covered in different articles. Spend some time on Google poking around for new ideas that relate to your audience.

Secondly, use this list to post interesting tidbits on various social media sites.

Every time you put something on any of the social media sites, you are growing your brand!

You don’t have to come up with a long blog post… or write an article… just start posting little gems of information that your audience would be interested in. Maybe you share a website you discovered in your search, maybe you do a quick product review, perhaps you simply share your expert opinion on an article you read that might interest your audience.

That’s it!
Super easy… but with the potential to have big impact! My kind of marketing 😉
