My template is usually $14.95 – but, I’m offering it for $7 for one
week.

You can learn more here:

Hi ~

Looking for ways to give your business a little kick this week?
I’ll give you three…

1. Write
2. Get Involved
3. Improve Your Listings

1. Write

Write a short article (500 words) that talks about an aspect of
what you are selling on eBay and submit it to article directories
for others to publish on their websites and blogs.

How does this give your eBay business a kick?

I love to use what Jimmy D. Brown coined as the ‘useful, but
complete’ approach when using freebies of any kind (and articles
are free tid-bits of information). What he means by that is simply
this: You provide the reader with “useful” information (something
they find of value and are able to actually apply) but make certain
that it is ‘incomplete’ in that they can better use the information
by making a purchase from you.

The idea is to use your content to build up to your desired
response. In other words, you provide the reader with a great
article, and then you make an offer that allows them to fully
utilize the content, gain extra insight from the content or
maximize the content in some additional way.

I think the best way to do this is to present some sort of problem
in your article. The problem should be based on the solution you
can provide through what you are selling.

– If you are selling info to get in shape solutions – your article
could be about the value of eating right.

– If you are selling used children’s clothing – your article could
talk about how much it is costing parents to clothe their children
with new clothes.

– If you are selling equipment for converting to digital TV, you
could explain the issue of analogue TV no longer being available.

By presenting a problem in your article… you can provide a
solution in your ‘resource box’ and point readers to your auctions
selling the solution.

Don’t know what to write about? It starts with knowing your
audience and your niche. What kind of people buy what you are
listing on eBay? What topics are they interested in? Even if you
aren’t an expert in the field, you can still write a quick article
with a little bit of googling.

After an article is put together, submit it to article directories
like:
www.ezinearticles.com (my favorite)

2. Get Involved

You don’t have to have your own blog to be able to use blogging to
your advantage and drive traffic to your auctions. Just by
commenting on your favorite blog posts, you’ll be able to leave
your website url (or the link to your current auctions) and drive
trafffic.

Find some blogs that are relative to your audience and leave some
good comments. You get to help the blogger that posted the article,
and they get to help you by giving you a link back to your
auctions. Please be sure your comment adds value to the blog you
are posting to.

You can also drive traffic to your auctions through forum
interaction. This is a little tricky because there are many rules
for how you can do this… be sure you have read the posting rules
for the forum you are planning to do this in. Usually, as long as
you leave comments that are adding to the discussion, you can post
a link to your site or auctions in your signature at the end of
each post.

3. Improve Your Listings

Although there are markets that do very well during these summer
months (toys, for example)… many markets slow down. If you are in
a slow season for selling, this is a great time to improve your
listings for when things pick up again. Don’t get caught in the
trap of thinking that your listings are all they can be – there is
always room for improvement!

A few years ago, I changed my template on my auctions and my
average sales INSTANTLY doubled from the new theme! I knew I would
see improvement – but, I was shocked that this one thing made such
a difference.

I have made this same theme available to my readers that are also
members of Seller Sourcebook. You can read the details here:

http://huntedtreasure.com/Custom_Auction_Template.html
BUT, DON’T BUY IT FROM THAT PAGE OR YOU’LL BE PAYING TO MUCH!

As a reader of mine, I’m offering the template for more than half
OFF. Use this link to get it for just $7 through next Friday, June
19, 2009.

The theme is managed by Seller Sourcebook so you need to be using
their services to have access to it. You can learn more about

2. Heads Up: Affiliate and Niche Marketing
=====================================

I’ve mentioned The Niche Blogger as a resource for help in getting
a blog up and generating revenue quickly. I’m working on a course
for you – but, if you can’t wait, I highly recommend Amy’s Niche
Blogger. It is excellent!

http://tinyurl.com/nichblog

The downside to the niche blogger is that although it is focused on
blogging to a specific niche – building up that blog to generate a
nice income and then either selling it or moving onto the next
niche. She does talk a bit about how to define your niche and know
whether or not your niche has the potential to be profitable;
however, she doesn’t really cover how any of this could apply to an
already established eBay seller.

Mike Enos (a widely known eBay expert featured on Jim Cockrum’s
www.My-Silent-Team.com site) has put together another great
resource for those looking to get into niche blogging.

The Instant Niche Maker automates much of the process of setting up
a blog for a specific niche. I’m amazed at what is involved in this
package… he goes all out.

He has a 5 day trial that you can learn about here:

If you don’t want to deal with installing and hosting a blog – The
Instant Niche Maker does it all for you.

3. Heads Up: Help Knowing Your Niche
=====================================

Many of you have asked me more about how to find your ‘niche’…
How do you know where you should focus? Is the niche you are
looking into already too saturated? Where do I start?

I plan to address some of this in my blogging course that will be
coming later this summer (I hope!!)… but, today I stumbled on a
great 92 page ebook that addresses this very question.

Steve Lindhorst is a fellow expert over at Jim’s
www.My-Silent-Team.com site and has recently released a new book –
The Niche Book. You can learn more about it here:

OR…
You get it free as a My-Silent-Team member! If you are sitting on
the fence with joining My-Silent-Team.com – you have to take a
look. The number of bonuses on the site FAR exceeds the amount you
