The Summer Toy Guide is all about selling USED toys. Toys are one of the few items that tend to sell well year round. New toys take the front seat during the holidays – but, I have to say, nothing beats selling used toys during the rest of the year… especially during the summer months when garage sales are plentiful and a great place for finding inventory!
One of the best ways to know what toys are selling on eBay is RESEARCH… but, if you are busy buying inventory and listing auctions – Who has time to research?
The Summer Toy Guide package provides you with a WEEKLY report of 25 USED toys that are CURRENTLY selling on eBay… These aren’t predictions – it is a list of actual auctions that are currently doing well for the week so you know what to look for when you are building your inventory.
Want to see what these reports look like?
Here is a recent report of 25 USED toys selling on eBay:

Garage Sale For Inventory Plan – YOUR BUDGET
=====================================
Last week I shared with you some of the strategies I use to map out my route on a g-sale day… and today we talk about the all important budget!
Your budget will really come down to the market you are in (and of course how much you have to spend on inventory). Since I focus on selling children’s items, that is going to be the point of reference for this weeks topic of budgeting for yard sales.

If you run any kind of business… whether you like it or not, you are somehow involved in marketing. In fact, even if you don’t realize it, you are marketing your business. It happens whether you have a ‘formal’ plan or not… It happens when you tell other people what you do – either by word of mouth, through email, flyers on bulletin boards… or however else you communicate your business services/products to potential customers.
Here is the thing…
As an eBay seller, you have a choice.
You can A. Let eBay do all the marketing for you (and your competition)…
You can B. Let eBay affiliate marketers do your marketing (and your competition)…
Or,
You can C. Take the reigns into your own hands and do your own marketing.
What’s cool about Option C is that it is kind of an ‘all of the above’ sort of thing. Not only will you benefit from your own marketing efforts – you will continue to benefit from eBay and other affiliate marketers as well.
You must have a plan if you are going to be marketing your online business though… Before we get into how to develop a plan, I want to be very clear that marketing is not the same as advertising. Advertising can be a piece of your marketing plan; however, placing ads on various websites is not in itself a marketing plan.

One of the things I have talked about numerous times is the value of selling within a niche. When I’m talking about a niche – I’m talking about a group of products that the same audience has an interest for. The ‘tighter’ your niche is (or the more focused it is), the less competition you should have selling to that market.
So – for example…
Clothing or apparel is a niche… but a tighter, more focused niche would be women’s clothing or children’s clothing. You could sell just clothing in general – but, think about how much more you could cross-promote your items if you were only selling women’s, children’s OR men’s clothing.
If you know your customers are interested in women’s clothing – it is easy to create offers for them to purchase more from you. (And, remember, it is always easier to sell to those already showing an interest in buying from you!) On the other hand, if you are just selling clothing in general… you won’t know your customers as well and will have difficulty effectively promoting other products you are selling. In other words, if you cross promote to your other auctions and most of them are dresses – but, this particular customer is a man who has bought a jacket from you… it is likely your promotion won’t be all that effective.
